Us
Global Tax Network Ltd is the
UK member firm of Global Tax Network
(GTN), an international affiliation of tax
firms specialising in expatriate tax
matters.
The firm was established in 1999 as
Expatriate Tax Solutions Ltd, a consulting
practice specialising in international
personal taxation. In 2002, the firm
became an independent member of GTN,
before becoming formally known as Global
Tax Network Ltd in 2004.
Our aim is to provide a flexible and
proactive approach to expatriate tax
consulting, with an emphasis on both home
and host country tax planning and
compliance. Through our network of firms,
we are able to assist individual clients
in locations throughout the world and
support companies with international
assignees in multiple jurisdictions.
Global Tax Network Ltd has consulting offices in
London and Surrey and provides U.K., U.S. and
Canadian tax services from both locations.

Richard Watts-Joyce CTA
Managing Director, United Kingdom
Richard co-founded Global Tax Network Ltd
(formerly Expatriate Tax Solutions Ltd) in
1999, having previously spent several
years at the London offices of
PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG advising
both small and multinational companies on
expatriate tax planning and compliance
issues. During this time, he spent two
years specialising in Far Eastern clients,
assisting a number of major Japanese banks
based in the City of London. In addition,
he has experience of assisting both US and
European companies in the high technology,
finance, pharmaceutical and motor
industries.
In addition to the time spent within Big 4
accountancy firms, Richard spent two years
as a Management Consultant at Watson Wyatt
Partners, advising on international HR
issues and the implementation of tax
efficient global stock plans, and three
years within the finance department of IBM
UK Limited. Richard has a BSc Honours
Degree from the London School of Economics
and qualified as a member of the
Association of Taxation Technicians in
1995 and the Chartered Institute of
Taxation in 1999.

Wayne Bewick, Bcomm, CA, CFP, CPA (IL)
Wayne is a Canadian Chartered Accountant, Certified
Financial Planner and a U.S. Certified Public
Accountant, specializing in expatriate and
international taxation.
Before joining GTN, Wayne spent numerous years at
Deloitte specializing in expatriate and
international tax services. He has completed levels
I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered
Accountants In depth Taxation Program, is a current
member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
Ontario, and the Financial Planners Standards
Council. Wayne is also licensed as a Certified
Public Accountant in the State of Illinois. Wayne
graduated with a Bachelor's of Commerce from
Concordia University in Montreal and is fluent in
French.

Key GTN U.S. Team Members
David Kolb, CPA
David is the partner in charge of the
Minneapolis office, where he focuses
exclusively on providing expatriate and
foreign national tax services to corporate
and individual clients. Prior to combining
with GTN, David was the president and
founder of Hemisphere Tax Services, LLC, a
boutique firm that specialized in
expatriate and foreign national tax
preparation and consulting, encompassing
pre-assignment planning through
repatriation. David began his career at
KPMG, where he was a Tax Senior Manager in
their International Executive Services
practice. David is a member of the
American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Minnesota Society of
Certified Public Accountants. He received
his undergraduate degree from Mankato
State University, and holds a Master of
Business Taxation from the University of
Minnesota.

Stephen Daas, CPA
Steve is a partner in the GTN
Minneapolis office with over
eighteen years of experience in
assisting clients in developing
strategies to minimize the cost,
including the global tax effects,
and maximize the effectiveness of
international assignments. He has
also assisted clients with designing
compensation packages, international
mobility policy reviews and
development, international personal
financial counseling, and
administration process reviews.
Prior to joining GTN, Steve was a
Partner with the Ernst & Young
global mobility practice in San
Jose, CA and Singapore. During his 3
1/2 year assignment in Singapore, he
coordinated the global mobility
area-wide services for a number of
large accounts in the Asia Pacific
region. Steve spent the first
thirteen years of his career in the
Minneapolis office global mobility
practices of E&Y and Arthur
Andersen. Steve received his
undergraduate degree in accounting
from the University of Minnesota,
Carlson School of Management. He is
active in Carlson School alumni
activities including the mentorship
and scholarship programs.
